our story

Butter Block began as a “pop up” pastry shop in 2014; offering our croissant and other artisan made pastries at markets, pop-ups, local food shops and cafés in the city of Buffalo. After five years in that model, we are thrilled to finally have a space to call our own.  

Our bakery focuses on pastry made with traditional French techniques.  Our food is thoughtfully crafted and made with ingredients that are locally farmed and procured each week. Our menus are driven by each season and influenced by an artistic and talented staff. We hope that you enjoy our product as much as we enjoy the process of creating it for you.  

We are located on the West Side of Buffalo in the Five Points Neighborhood. You can find our shop alongside a collection of other amazing local businesses including: Urban Roots, Remedy House, Paradise Wine, Five Points Bakery, Black Monarchy, Pilates Art Studio, Las Puertas, Five Points Framing, Blue Table Chocolate, Petrichor Flora and more.
